| La Cadenelle in 1943 |
1943 Charlotte GRAWITZ establishes la Cadenelle and creates the Diplôme d'Etat du Monitorat (State Instructorship Diploma) and the Professorat d'Enseignement Ménager Familial (Home Economics Teacher Training).
1949 The first School of Nutrition is established.
The French Ministry of Education formally recognises this training, which becomes a state diploma (BTS Nutrition). To meet the needs of a constantly changing society, the number of courses was increased and expanded into the Tourism and Management sectors:
1959 BTS Tourism.
1972 BTS Management Accounting.
1964 La Cadenelle signs a partnership agreement with the French Ministry of Education whereby the Institute is authorised to collect the non-quota portion of the apprenticeship tax.
1968 A new site is found to suit the Institute's changing needs. Now in a very special location, it begins to offer accommodation (70 rooms), catering and leisure activities. The quality of the surroundings takes on a vital importance.
1991 La Cadenelle has a "makeover" and becomes the ISMC (Institut Supérieur Marseille Cadenelle).
1997 The ISMC initiates the creation of the Association Sud Formation (South of France Training Association), a network of 4 educational establishments established by Charlotte GRAWITZ.
1999 The ISMC introduces a work-study programme. Start of the BTS International Commerce with Apprenticeship.
The ISMC can now collect the quota portion of the apprenticeship tax.
